the cut in half is produced by the razer synapse mixer because it splits the windows sounds that are made for stereo into 7.1, thats why they are cut in half.
but there is still one more problem and i myself didnt find a solution so far, the cut in half windows sounds, i know the problem and its source but i dont know how to fix it. So you can change every audiosource in the razer synapse mixer by unmuting it and changing from 7.1 to 2.0, worked fine for me.
To fix the windows sounds a bit use your mic as an audio source, todo so got to your microphone audio source and click properties on your mic then go to listen tab and select it as an audio source (sorry dont know the correct word because im using german windows version :) ) talk a little bit in your mic until it shows up in your synapse mixer, then unmute if needed and change from 7.1 to 2.0. As i said there is a half workin solution, dont disable the process and use the mixer of synapse by playing nearly every audiosource once after another until it shows in the mixer, then unmute the application you want to and switch from 7.1 to 2.0 if not needed otherwise. If you dont disable the Kraken71Chroma process you will be able to use the mixer but with muted sound or split sound. But i have come to another half workin solution. With the solution i told before i was not able to use the mixer right. I really hope some of you can help me! Thanks a lot! :)
Notice: I'm using a Razer Kraken 7.1 headset but i have deleted all drivers and updated them, and even tried to plug into my other computer, where it works fine. I have searched the internet for 2 hour for answers and all my settings seems to be right. My headset have been set as my primary sound output. No sound: Google Chrome, Firefox, Steam (including ALL games), All games in general, Windows sounds are muted half of the time and half of the time they are like cut in half (sounds weird), Windows Media Player.įacts about the situation: My headset seems to be fine and can still record audio. I have made a small list over programs with no sound and programs with sound (of those i have tested). But i later found out that it wasn't only Chrome that didn't work. I then went on to Spotify which worked just fine. Then i thought to myself "Guess something is wrong with Chrome or Youtube". I then tried to open a close Chrome and yet again nothing happend. I thought to myself "Hm that's weird.?" i reloaded the page. I was browsing Youtube when all of a sudden my sound would not work for a video.
